Lee Adams
1922-1971

Lee Adams was born in Jacksonville, growing up along the St. Johns River. A self-taught artist, he achieved international recognition for his paintings of tropical fruits and plants. His paintings, accurate to the finest detail, yet highly decorated, have been widely acclaimed in exhibitions throughout the country, published in books, magazines, and art prints decorating American homes in the 50s and 60s.
